Sharing experiences to improve the quality of activities of the Association of Retired Teachers

Mr. Vo Van Chinh, Standing Committee Member of the Vietnam Association of Retired Teachers, shared his thoughts at the conference.

The conference was attended by delegates from the Association of Retired Teachers of Nghe An, Ha Tinh , Quang Tri provinces and Hue city. These are four of the five units belonging to Cluster 4 of the Vietnam Association of Retired Teachers.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Vo Van Chinh, Standing Committee Member of the Vietnam Association of Retired Teachers, Chairman of the Hue City Association of Retired Teachers, and Head of Cluster 4, emphasized the need to strengthen the organization, improve the quality of activities, and ensure that association activities are not interrupted during the administrative boundary reorganization. The units have maintained contact with the grassroots level, applied digital technology to connect and exchange information, and organized activities suitable to the travel conditions of elderly members.

Along with caring for the material and spiritual well-being of its members, the organizations also focus on coordinating with the education sector in promoting learning and talent, supporting disadvantaged students, and educating them on ethics and lifestyle. In Hue City, the association received six innovative projects from members on building an English-speaking community in schools and localities. The Association of Retired Teachers of Nghe An Province, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, donated nearly 3,000 books to three schools…

At the conference, delegates also shared many best practices, discussed difficulties, and proposed solutions to improve the quality of association activities in the new situation.
