On October 3rd, the Internal Political Security Department of the Dong Thap Provincial Police announced that they have opened a case against Mr. D.CT (born in 1980, residing in Cao Lanh ward) for the act of copying a work without the permission of the copyright owner.
Upon inspection, authorities discovered that the owner of the facility was printing and duplicating 48 documents, including textbooks and teaching materials from the University of Pedagogy Publishing House, Vietnam Education Publishing House, and the National Political Publishing House.
Working with the police, Mr. T. admitted to printing and copying 48 documents, including textbooks and teaching materials, without permission from the copyright owners, in order to sell them to customers for profit.
The police have issued an administrative violation report against the owner of the establishment under point a, clause 1, Article 16 of Government Decree No. 341/2025/ND-CP dated December 16, 2025, regulating administrative penalties for violations of copyright and related rights, with a fine ranging from 5 to 10 million VND.
