Focus on completing the remaining unfinished tasks.
In late September and early October, along Provincial Road 534D, the section passing through Tien Dong commune, contractors concentrated manpower and machinery to complete the remaining sections of the road.

The section of the road passing through Tien Dong commune is approximately 14 km long, and most of it has already been paved with asphalt. However, more than 1 km is still under construction, mainly in the areas at both ends of Khe Da Bridge and Khe Cum Bridge. These are also crucial locations for completing and opening the road.
At the Khe Da bridge area, numerous vehicles and workers were mobilized to construct the approach roads at both ends of the bridge. At times, the construction disrupted traffic. As one of the major bridges on the route, the construction period, lasting several months, significantly impacted the movement of local residents. Before the rainy season, the greatest wish of the local people was for the project to be completed soon, allowing the bridge to be put into operation, facilitating travel and minimizing the risk of localized isolation during floods.

Meanwhile, at Khe Cửm bridge, no construction workers or vehicles were observed at the time the reporter was present. Speaking with the reporter, a representative of the contractor stated that progress was being affected by a shortage of construction materials, especially stone. The contractor had to wait for a sufficient supply of materials before they could continue with the remaining work.

The fact that the construction is unfinished while the rainy season is approaching is causing concern among local residents. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai, a resident of Tien Dong commune, said that while most of the road has been paved, the sections at both ends of the Khe Da and Khe Cum bridges are still incomplete, making travel difficult. When the rainy season arrives, people will face many difficulties in traveling due to rising floodwaters that could cut off access.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Thang , Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Dong commune, Provincial Road 534D, the section passing through the commune (Dong Lau - Thung Mon), plays a particularly important role for the locality. In recent times, contractors have focused their manpower and resources on accelerating progress; to date, most of the road has been paved with asphalt, with only a few items at both ends of the Khe Da and Khe Cum bridges remaining unfinished.
Regarding the Khe Da bridge, a project invested in by the Tien Dong Commune People's Committee, the local authorities are currently coordinating with the construction company to resolve difficulties and strive for completion and opening of the road in the first half of October. Meanwhile, at the Khe Cum bridge area, progress was affected by land acquisition issues. To resolve this, in August, the commune government worked with the construction unit and coordinated with the Dong Tien hamlet's Steering Committee to mobilize residents to clear the land at both ends of the bridge. As a result, households have agreed to donate approximately 1,800 m² of land, creating favorable conditions for the construction unit to implement the project and connect the road.

“This is a vital road for the locality. Therefore, the commune hopes that the contractor will be flexible and focus manpower and materials to speed up the progress, striving to complete the Khe Cửm bridge area in October, creating favorable conditions for people to travel, especially during the rainy season,” Mr. Nguyen Van Thang shared.
Provincial Road 534D, the section passing through Tien Dong commune, is part of the project "Renovation and upgrading of the road system and infrastructure on the route: Lat - Lang Rao; Huong Son - Phu Son; Dong Lau - Thung Mon". The project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee on December 18, 2023, with a total investment of VND 108.5 billion, using medium-term capital, and implemented in two phases: 2021-2025 and 2026-2030. Currently, contractors are carrying out construction along the entire route.
Urgently complete the new road in Tan An.
Not only in Tien Dong commune, but also in Tan An commune, another transportation project is being accelerated by contractors in the last days of September.

Along the road connecting District Road 370 through Tan An commune, from Khe Sanh to the former Nghia Phuc commune area, machinery and vehicles are being mobilized quite busily. Groups of workers are diligently leveling the roadbed, mixing and pouring concrete for the road surface. A new road is gradually taking shape, fulfilling the aspirations of local people after many years of waiting.
According to the technical design documents, the road is over 2.3 km long, passing through many residential areas and agricultural land. The roadbed is 9 m wide, of which the concrete surface is 7.5 m wide and 22 cm thick, meeting the requirements for long-term use. The project has a total investment of approximately 19.5 billion VND, from the commune budget, the provincial budget, and other legal sources of capital.

As of September 30th, the contractor had completed nearly 200 meters of concrete road surface. With a construction capacity of approximately 70 meters per day, if the weather remains favorable, the road could be completed this October.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Duc, Chairman of the Tan An Commune People's Committee, said that the locality is coordinating with relevant units to implement the project in accordance with regulations, while focusing on ensuring the quality and progress of the construction. During the preparation and implementation of the project, the local government mobilized the people to agree and donate land for road construction. "The locality strives to complete the road in October 2026, meeting the transportation and trade needs of the people," Mr. Duc said.

One of the transportation projects that residents of Luong Minh commune are eagerly awaiting completion is Provincial Road 543B, connecting the Cua Rao Bridge intersection to the commune center and then to Ban Ve. Local residents are concerned about the potential for landslides and isolation during the rainy season, particularly the 5-kilometer section from Cua Rao Bridge to the center of Luong Minh commune.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Chairman of the People's Committee of Luong Minh commune, said that the project is currently constructing works along the route. Given the approaching rainy and stormy season, the local authorities hope the contractor will focus manpower and equipment, accelerate construction progress, and complete the project before the rainy season, contributing to ensuring smooth and safe traffic for the people.
From the ongoing projects, it is clear that to ensure progress before the rainy season, in addition to the contractor's efforts, the role of local authorities in clearing land, coordinating with residents, and resolving arising difficulties is crucial. Before the rainy season, contractors taking advantage of favorable weather days to complete projects is not only significant for investment progress.
