Following the city's plan, the People's Committee of Tam My commune proactively implemented the plan, established a working group, and mobilized forces to conduct a review and survey at the two martyrs' cemeteries in Tam My and Tam Tra to collect biological samples for DNA testing.

As a result, out of a total of 199 graves requiring sampling, the local authorities successfully collected samples from 111 graves (55.78%), completing the task 13 days ahead of the city's deadline; the remaining 88 graves were not eligible for sampling due to the lack of bone samples or samples not meeting professional requirements.

The sampling process is carried out meticulously from the initial identification of the grave location, collection, identification, labeling, packaging, sealing, preservation, to the completion of documentation and handover to the Sampling Team of the City Military Command as per regulations.

After the sampling is complete, the graves are restored to their original state, ensuring the landscape, environmental hygiene, and solemnity of the cemetery.

In parallel with the above task, the commune's working group received two pieces of information about the remains of fallen soldiers and continued to coordinate with relevant agencies, units, and witnesses to review, verify, and cross-reference the information, as a basis for future search and repatriation efforts.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Tam My commune commended and rewarded 3 collectives and 7 individuals for their outstanding achievements in collecting biological samples from the remains of martyrs for DNA testing.
