Over five seasons, the race has attracted an increasing number of athletes and the running community. This year alone saw participation from athletes from 57 countries and territories. This scale demonstrates the growing connection the race has with the running community both domestically and internationally. “The value of the race lies not only in its scale or competitive achievements, but also in its ability to inspire, connect communities, and encourage many people to maintain their exercise habits even after the event ends. Through this, the race gradually creates lasting value for the health, mental well-being, and community cohesion of the people. The city acknowledges and highly appreciates the efforts of Techcombank , Sunrise Events Vietnam, and their partners in committing to continue implementing practical initiatives, promoting exercise, improving community health, and creating values ​​with lasting impact,” emphasized Vice President Vu Thi Thu Ha.

The 5th Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon has officially opened.

The Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon is a symbolic race of the city, transcending the meaning of a typical sporting event to contribute to building a new symbol of a modern, dynamic, livable, and culturally rich Hanoi. Each step not only helps spread the spirit of healthy living but also connects heritage with the future, promotes the image of the capital to international friends, and creates further impetus for the development of the economy, culture, tourism, and services – sectors that are increasingly playing a crucial role in the nation's competitiveness.

After 5 years of organization, the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon has attracted more than 54,000 athletes from 57 countries and territories, having a strong international influence and reach, contributing to promoting the cultural values ​​and heritage of Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general, and making a positive contribution to the economy. By 2025, the economic impact is estimated to reach US$13.7 million, equivalent to more than VND 350 billion, through tourism, accommodation, trade and services.

The exhibition “One Hanoi. A Million Steps Forward” – a first-of-its-kind initiative – attracted over 3,000 entries, showcasing impressive images of life, people, culture, heritage, and the contemporary rhythm of Hanoi through the lenses of photographers nationwide. From September 26, 2026, thousands of domestic and international visitors came to admire the exhibition at the historic Ho Guom Lake area, contributing to spreading the unique beauty of Hanoi and helping the community to more deeply appreciate the positive and humane values ​​of life.

“Over the past five seasons, we have donated more than 20 billion VND to sports development and social welfare activities. In particular, in the fifth season, we are introducing the exhibition initiative “One Hanoi. A Million Steps Forward” to celebrate the beauty of the thousand-year-old capital, preserve love and pride for Hanoi, and strengthen the connection between the capital and its people and international friends,” said Ms. Thai Minh Diem Tu, Marketing Director of Techcombank.

At the Opening Ceremony, Techcombank representatives also donated 7 billion VND to social welfare programs, further fulfilling their commitment to community development alongside the goal of improving health, quality of life, and creating sustainable values ​​for the future.

The online race "Run for the Future of Vietnamese Children" previously successfully raised 5 billion VND in just 11 days, becoming one of the fastest-spreading crowdfunding programs associated with the season. The entire amount was donated to the Touch Love Charity Fund to support disadvantaged children nationwide through practical healthcare, education, and welfare programs.

In conjunction with the season, Techcom Life is participating for the first time and becoming the main sponsor of Techcombank KIDS RUN, taking place on October 3rd for children aged 5 to 14. This program is part of a series of meaningful community activities.

Techcom Life's initiative aims to encourage children to develop exercise habits, improve their physical fitness, and build an active lifestyle from a young age.

On October 4th, more than 14,500 athletes from 57 countries and territories will gather in Hanoi to continue the story of an international-scale running event, created from love for the capital city and the spirit of "Running for a Superior Vietnam".
