Following the success of "Red Rain," Nguyen Hung returns to the big screen to extend his box office glory.

The turning point in Nguyen Hung's career came with "Red Rain." Recently, Nguyen Hung has been receiving much attention in both film and music . Thanks to his role as Hai in "Red Rain," his name suddenly shot to fame. In addition, the two songs "Miracle" and "What Could Be More Beautiful" propelled him past many others to win numerous prestigious awards.

Nguyen Hung's life has taken a completely different turn compared to before. The singer, born in 1999, likens himself to "turning a new page in his life." In recent years, Nguyen Hung has also expanded his activities into acting and gradually made his mark on the big screen. After only two film projects, the male artist has amassed a box office "fortune" of over 758 billion VND.

In early 2026, Nguyen Hung once again appeared in "Thank You for Staying Up with Me." The film garnered attention for its bold musical storytelling, sincerely exploring youth, aspirations, and dreamy emotions amidst real life, and grossed over 44 billion VND. This is also the most successful musical film project at the Vietnamese box office.

In stark contrast to his portrayal of a soldier in "Red Rain," Nguyen Hung here demonstrates versatility in experimenting with the musical film genre. He quite effectively conveys the inner depth of Duy Khang through his eyes, expressions, and the psychological shifts he experiences when facing major crossroads.

Following those successes, Nguyen Hung continued to challenge himself by taking on his first leading role in a feature film, "Flying Dairy Cow." The actor confessed that he felt pressured and hesitant to accept the role when offered. From the moment he heard the director explain the film's concept, he was afraid he wouldn't be able to handle the action scenes and worried about not being able to speak with a standard Northern accent.

“What worried and pressured me the most was not knowing if I was capable enough to take on the central role in a feature film. I deliberately gave the role to several other male actors. Then I received news that they all had roles, while I was the lead. I was devastated, but after being persuaded by the director, I decided to accept the role,” Nguyen Hung shared.

The actor recounted that he initially tried to "give" the role to Huy Tít and Võ Điền Gia Huy. However, all three were eventually cast, and he was given the lead role.

"As everyone knows, I've appeared more as a singer and songwriter than an actor. This project features a leading role, but it's quite challenging because the film has many elements of romance, action, family relationships, and much more. And I don't have much experience in that area," he said.

In the film, Nguyen Hung has many scenes acting alongside Miss Vietnam Tieu Vy and actress Ngoc Xuan. Speaking about Tieu Vy, he was impressed with her acting ability and focus. The collaboration helped him develop a more positive impression of Tieu Vy because of her politeness, gentleness, and friendliness.

Besides Nguyen Hung, the cast of "Flying Dairy Cow " includes Tu Oanh, Vo Dien Gia Huy, Tieu Vy, Lanh Thanh, and others.
