Attending the event were representatives from the Primorye Provincial Government, Vladivostok City Government, representatives from the Russian Federation's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Primorye, the Consulate, various departments and agencies, the Friendship Association with Vietnam in Primorye, the Vietnamese Association in Primorye, as well as a large number of local residents and members of the Vietnamese community in the Far East.
In his opening remarks, the Vietnamese Consul General in Vladivostok, Nguyen Viet Kien, emphasized that the Far East, where the sun rises earliest in Russia, is not only a gateway to the Asia-Pacific region, but also a land steeped in traditional Vietnamese-Russian friendship; a place that marks three visits by President Ho Chi Minh to Vladivostok.
According to the Consul General, the event not only promotes the unique characteristics of Vietnam and its people to Russian friends but also serves as a bridge to express gratitude for the strong bond between the people of the two countries, opening up new opportunities for cooperation in culture, economics , trade, and tourism.

The Consul General expressed his hope that the event would "bring Vietnam closer to the people of Vladivostok and the Far East" through music , culture, cuisine, folk games, and stories about the economic and tourism potential of Vietnam and its people.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Kien expressed his hope that the event would contribute to deepening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Russia, strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in general and between Vietnam and Vladivostok and the Far East region in particular; and at the same time highlight the significant contributions of the Vietnamese community to the sustainable development of Vladivostok and the Far East region.
At the event, the artistic program opened with a drum performance by students from the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). Following that, the "Ao Dai Festival - Colors of Vietnam" took the audience back in time, exploring the history of the Ao Dai.
Vietnamese and Russian models showcased traditional Vietnamese ao dai dresses, celebrating a beauty that is both modest, graceful, and subtly alluring, "hidden yet revealed," "concealed yet open," in keeping with the spirit of the East.

Next came a series of outstanding artistic performances: the "Co Doi Thuong Ngan" dance, deeply rooted in the folk culture of the Vietnamese Mother Goddess worship tradition, performed by Vietnamese-Russian students at FEFU; the song "Remembering Hanoi" sung by Russian opera singer Sakhatskaya Alina Alexandrovna; and a violin ensemble performance of "Prelude" by the model Chamber Orchestra of the Vladivostok Children's Art School No. 8 named after AVVorobyov.
Next, the Vietnamese branch of Wing Chun martial arts was performed by the Wushu club “Dva Drakon”; along with the lotus dance “A Round in Vietnam” by the Russian-Vietnamese dance group and the traditional Kalinka dance by young artists from the Vladivostok Children's Creative Center - Secondary School No. 82… all of which received enthusiastic applause from the audience.

After the art performance, guests and audience members are free to visit the festival's booths, enjoy typical Vietnamese cuisine such as pho, spring rolls, banh mi, coffee, and dried fruits, learn about the culture through folk games such as painting Dong Ho paintings on Do paper, bamboo pole dancing… and explore the tourism and economic potential as well as opportunities for cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

Vietnam Day in the Far East 2026 attracted considerable attention from the public, local authorities and media, as well as the Vietnamese community. The event contributed to strengthening mutual understanding and expanding cooperation between Vietnam and the Far East region, making a practical contribution to promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in the future.
The success of the event opens up prospects for annual exchange and cooperation activities, bringing the image of Vietnam and its people closer to international friends, especially in the Far East region.
