The festival will take place from October 1st to October 4th, 2026, with activities held at Thang Long Imperial Citadel , Ho Guom Walking Street, and the Vietnam Ethnic Groups Cultural and Tourism Village.

Accordingly, the "World Culture Festival in Hanoi" is an annual international cultural exchange event that uses "culture as the foundation and art as the means" to connect nations; thereby promoting people-to-people exchanges; strengthening mutual understanding and trust between Vietnam and the international community; and simultaneously enhancing the cultural and spiritual life and aesthetic level of the people of Hanoi in particular and the whole country in general. It contributes to building a modern cultural and entertainment ecosystem, helping Vietnam catch up with global creative economic trends; strongly stimulating the cultural and tourism industries, creating jobs and boosting domestic consumption.

Developing the " World Culture Festival in Hanoi" into a regular event linked to a significant time of year in the capital city will contribute to positioning Hanoi as a center for international cultural exchange and building an international cultural brand for Hanoi.

The festival comprises eight key events, including the "Concert of Five Continents" music festival; the World Cultural Village; the "Colors of Five Continents" street festival; the "Food of Five Continents" festival; a film screening program; an experiential area "Spreading Creativity from Heritage with the International Games Festival"; tours and experiences at the Vietnam Ethnic Groups Cultural and Tourism Village; and other related activities.

The World Cultural Village is identified as the central activity, taking place from October 1st to 4th at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, organized by the Hanoi People's Committee. Approximately 50 booths are expected, with each country allocated one booth measuring 20m² (floor area 26m², roof area 18m²) (equipped with a TV, table, two chairs, light bulbs, power outlets, electric fans, and a medium-sized trash can). A Vietnamese cultural space showcasing traditional Vietnamese culture will also be operating within the framework of the event.

The "Concert of Five Continents" music festival will take place within the framework of the festival from October 1st to 4th at Thang Long Imperial Citadel. The city will send art troupes to participate, develop performance programs, and coordinate the setup of stages, sound systems, and lighting to support the activities.

The "Colors of Five Continents" street festival will take place from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on October 3, 2026, at the Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian street. The event will include a parade of Vietnamese ao dai (traditional dress) combined with international costumes as directed by the Organizing Committee.

The "Five Continents Cuisine Festival" will take place from October 1st to 4th at Thang Long Imperial Citadel. The culinary spaces are divided according to continents: Asia, Europe, America, Africa, and Oceania; each country has a booth showcasing its unique traditional cuisine. Visitors can experience characteristic dishes from many countries and enjoy culinary demonstrations performed by skilled artisans.

In addition, a film screening program and experiential area titled "Spreading Creativity from Heritage with the International Games Festival" will also be held at Thang Long Imperial Citadel from October 1st to 4th.

The program includes a visit and experience at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village on the morning of October 2nd, 2026, in Doai Phuong commune. Delegates will have the opportunity to visit and learn about the distinctive cultural spaces of Vietnam's ethnic communities; interact with and learn about customs, traditions, and traditional crafts; and enjoy folk art and traditional cuisine.

The Hanoi People's Committee has assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the focal agency of Hanoi to coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in implementing the "Second World Culture Festival in Hanoi," ensuring quality, progress, and compliance with the law and regulations of the City.
