The delegation visited the living quarters and dining area of ​​students at Thanh Phu Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School.

At Thanh Phu Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School, the school's leadership reported on the teaching and learning situation and the work of caring for the lives of ethnic boarding students. For the 2016-2027 school year, the school will maintain 14 classes with 465 students, including 260 secondary school students and 205 high school students.

In the 2025-2026 academic year, the school effectively implemented the 2018 General Education Program; maintained two-session teaching per day, organized tutoring for students with learning difficulties, and nurtured gifted students. As a result, 100% of 9th-grade students completed the lower secondary education program; the high school graduation rate reached 100%. Digital transformation was emphasized, with 100% of student records digitized and digitally signed; online teaching was gradually implemented. The school paid attention to the well-being, health, living conditions, and morale of ethnic minority boarding students. Activities to preserve Khmer cultural identity were maintained.

Speaking at the visit, Mr. Dong Van Thanh acknowledged and praised the efforts of the school's management staff and teachers in improving the quality of teaching and learning and caring for ethnic minority students. He also requested that the school continue to improve the overall quality of education ; focus on cultivating character and skills in students; and pay attention to preserving the spoken and written language and the fine traditional cultural values ​​of the Khmer people.

During his visit to Prek On Dok Pagoda, Mr. Dong Van Thanh cordially inquired about the health of the monks, the pagoda's management board, and the Buddhist followers. He also shared some outstanding achievements in the socio -economic development of Can Tho City during the first nine months of 2026; affirming that the city always cares for the material and spiritual well-being of the Khmer people, creating conditions for them to promote their cultural identity and contribute to the city's development.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee acknowledged the positive contributions of the monks, the temple's management board, and the Khmer people and Buddhist followers in socio-economic development, building cultural life in residential areas, and strengthening national unity. He expressed the hope that the monks and the temple's management board would continue to encourage Buddhist followers to uphold the tradition of unity, strictly abide by the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; actively participate in emulation movements, and work together to build an increasingly prosperous homeland.

On the occasion of the Sene Dolta festival, on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Dong Van Thanh extended his best wishes to the monks and Khmer Buddhist followers, wishing them a joyful, warm, and peaceful celebration.
