On October 3rd, Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son signed a decision to relieve Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh of his duties and transfer him to another position.

Specifically, in Article 1 of the decision, the Ministry of Education and Training relieved Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh of his position as Chairman of the Board of Members and General Director of Vietnam Education Publishing House One-Member Limited Liability Company at his own request .

At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh was transferred to the Literature and Arts Newspaper under the Vietnam Writers Association , effective October 5, 2026 .

The above decision was made based on the legal grounds regarding the functions and tasks of the Ministry of Education and Training ; regulations on managing persons holding titles and positions in state-owned enterprises; Conclusion No. 137-KL/DU dated October 3, 2026 of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training ; and at the request of the Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel.

Regarding the handover process, the decision states that Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh is responsible for fully handing over files, documents, ongoing work, finances, assets, and related rights and obligations to the Vietnam Education Publishing House in accordance with the law and the company's internal regulations.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh's salary, allowances, and other benefits are implemented in accordance with current State regulations.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh was appointed Chairman of the Board of Members and General Director of Vietnam Education Publishing House from May 15, 2024. Prior to that, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Life and Law Magazine under the Vietnam Lawyers Association.
