On October 4th, information from the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Union indicated that the grassroots trade union of Quang Tri Urban Environmental Construction Joint Stock Company, in coordination with the company's leadership, had organized a visit and provided support to Ms. Nguyen Thi Sen, a union member facing exceptionally difficult circumstances and suffering from a serious illness.
Ms. Sen is a sanitation worker, collecting garbage for the environmental sanitation team of the company. With a low income, her life was already difficult. Four years ago, her husband and one of her children tragically passed away in an accident. Since then, she has been shouldering the burden of supporting her family alone, raising her remaining child who does not yet have a stable job.
Tragedy struck again a month ago when Ms. Sen discovered she had cancer. The cost of treatment, coupled with financial burdens, has made life even more difficult for the female factory worker.
In response to Ms. Sen's situation, the Trade Union of Quang Tri Urban Environmental Construction Joint Stock Company, in coordination with the company's leadership, organized a visit and presented her with a financial assistance of 5 million VND.
Representatives from the labor union and company leadership encouraged Ms. Sen to maintain an optimistic spirit, persevere with her treatment, and gradually overcome difficulties to stabilize her life.
These visits and support activities demonstrate the concern of the trade union and the enterprise for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, while also spreading the spirit of mutual support within the unit.
