Every autumn, the blooming of Hanoi's milk flower trees becomes an endless source of inspiration for those who love the city. Every street, corner, and alley is covered in pristine white blossoms. The fragrance wafts gently through the air, sometimes intensely infused with every breath, prompting everyone to pause and savor it. Those who love milk flowers say that just a gentle breeze is enough to bring back a flood of memories of Hanoi's autumn.

The milkwood trees typically bloom from September to December, but they are at their most beautiful and fragrant around the end of October. The scent intensifies at night, enveloping every street corner. For romantics, this is the ideal time to sit at a roadside cafe, sip a hot cup of coffee, and watch the passersby beneath the milkwood trees. Just a stroll with your loved one during Hanoi's milkwood blossom season seems to melt away all worries.

Without being overly ostentatious, the milk flower chooses to remain a persistent presence in memory. A street with just a couple of old milk flower trees is enough to make people look forward to and anticipate each autumn. That's why, for those who once lived in Hanoi, when they leave, they remember the scent of this flower more clearly than anything else.
Every autumn, the fragrant milkwood trees bloom profusely throughout Hanoi's streets: Tran Duy Hung, Trung Hoa, Le Quang Dao, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Dien Bien Phu… Their scent permeates the air with every breeze. In Trung Hoa ward (Cau Giay district) or along Le Quang Dao street, dozens of trees stand side by side, covering the sky in white.
