Episode 4 of Model Kid Vietnam 2026, which aired on the evening of October 3rd, presented a challenge for the young models: they had to catwalk and improvise on difficult terrain. In addition to the coaching panel including Thùy Dương (Tyhd), Quỳnh Anh, and Bùi Quỳnh Hoa, the program also featured supermodel Võ Hoàng Yến and Miss H'Hen Niê as guest judges.

In the previous episode, the three coaches and the top 15 contestants faced their first challenge in collaboration with a fashion brand. With their outstanding performance, Team Tyhd secured their first victory. Notably, in recognition of the contestants' efforts, the brand decided to keep the contestants from the elimination round, preserving the number of members for all three teams.

In this round of the competition, to gain an advantage for the main challenge, the three teams participated in an outdoor physical challenge, overcoming obstacles to bring the flag back to their team. According to the organizers, the challenge required teamwork, camaraderie , and coordination among members. With the shortest completion time, Bui Quynh Hoa's team won, and also gained the right to choose the order of costumes and compete in the main challenge.

Entering the main competition, the top 15 contestants donned traditional costumes and wooden clogs, and took turns walking the catwalk on a rough surface, crossing a monkey bridge, and combining their outfits with accessories of varying weights. Each step therefore required the contestants to maintain balance, master every movement, and quickly adapt to obstacles on the stage.

Stepping onto a challenging stage for the first time, the young contestants inevitably encountered unexpected situations. Despite receiving continuous guidance from their coaches below, psychological pressure and external distractions still caused the children to lose focus.

As soon as the qualifying round began, the atmosphere among the coaches heated up when Tyhd frankly commented on the performances of the other two teams: "These two teams have very simple routines, while my team has completely changed the routine, so it's also a challenge for the kids." This comment quickly sparked a heated exchange, with Quynh Anh and Quynh Hoa simultaneously retorting: "Actually, it's not simple at all. You haven't seen how we practiced, have you?"

Not stopping there, Quynh Hoa continued to retort: ​​"Ms. TyhD has the right to freely talk about her own team, but she has no right to comment on things she doesn't see in other teams." The exchange between the coaches made the atmosphere at the qualifying round tense, forcing judge Vo Hoang Yen to intervene to stop the debate and allow the evaluation to continue.

With their outstanding performance, coach Bui Quynh Hoa's team won this challenge, giving them the power to eliminate contestants from the other two teams. At this tense moment, Vo Hoang Yen unexpectedly left the filming session, much to the surprise of Nguyen Khang and the contestants.

Sharing her thoughts on this decision, she said: "I can't handle the emotions right now. This mother is too cowardly to face her children when announcing the results, too afraid to see the tears and disappointment on their faces."

In the elimination room, four contestants faced Bui Quynh Hoa: Minh Hang and Khanh An (TyhD's team), Tai Loc and Khoi Vy (Quynh Anh's team). After the debate, Bui Quynh Hoa decided to eliminate two of TyhD's students, concluding episode 4 of the program.
