The leaders of Thai Nguyen province and the working group conducted a field inspection of the area to be used for the 2026 provincial defense zone exercise.
After hearing the report from the Provincial Military Command on the preparations for the exercise up to the present time, the delegation inspected the combat base, the live-fire training ground, and the logistics and technical base area; focusing on the progress of constructing fortifications, battle positions, trenches, and other conditions ensuring the exercise.
The delegation inspected and listened to reports on the preparations at the field for the exercise.
Upon inspection, provincial leaders highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and urgency shown by the Provincial Military Command and the agencies assisting the Steering Committee in issuing documents, plans, assigning responsibilities to each member of the Provincial Steering Committee, and developing the system of documents as well as fortifications and battle positions. Based on this, provincial leaders also requested that agencies and units continue to refine the plans, documents, projects, and remaining contents, ensuring timely progress and quality. The live-fire training plans must be realistic and relevant to the local area; participating forces must thoroughly understand their tasks, practice diligently, and improve their coordination and cooperation in combat.
Provincial leaders requested that the preparation for the exercise be expedited and its quality ensured.
The Provincial Military Command, the standing agency of the Steering Committee, is requested to strengthen coordination, ensure adequate facilities, equipment, and logistical and technical support; strictly check safety conditions, organize training and exercises, and advise on organizing the exercise to ensure it is carried out on time and according to the plan. It is expected that Thai Nguyen province will conduct a defensive combat exercise in early November 2026.
