At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the unit's traditions over 55 years of development, combat, and growth.

On November 1, 1971, along the Blao stream, in the mountainous forest area of ​​Phuoc Hiep commune, Phuoc Son district, Quang Nam province (formerly), now Phuoc Hiep commune, Da Nang city, the 270th Engineering Regiment (now the 270th Engineering Brigade) was established.

This is the first main engineering regiment of Military Region 5, tasked with opening roads to ensure transportation, fighting to protect corridors, transporting weapons, food, and supplies, and serving the combat mobility requirements of the armed forces units of Military Region 5.

During the war against the US, the Regiment completed dozens of fortifications, battle positions, and artillery bunkers to support combat, contributing to the many victories achieved by the armed forces of Military Region 5. From 1977 to 1986, the unit participated in international missions in Cambodia, achieving many victories and leaving a deep mark on various projects...

In 1991, the Ministry of National Defence decided to transform the 270th Engineering Regiment into the 270th Engineering Brigade under the 5th Military Region Command. The unit continues to carry out training, combat readiness, disaster prevention and control, search and rescue, and counter-terrorism missions. In 2021, the Brigade was awarded the First Class Order of National Defence.

The Liaison Committee of the 270th Engineering Brigade, 5th Military Region, in Da Nang City was reorganized in February 2026. Over the past period, the members of the Liaison Committee have continued to uphold the spirit and traditions of the Ho Chi Minh Army, actively participating in local movements; and engaging in propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage cadres, members, and residents to comply with the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws .

In particular, the Liaison Committee has mobilized support and assistance for members facing difficult circumstances, illness, or disease; and visited families receiving preferential treatment...

On this occasion, the Liaison Committee also introduced the members of the Standing Committee of the Traditional Liaison Committee of the 270th Engineering Brigade, Military Region V, in Da Nang City.
