To gradually familiarize people with digital transactions.

Agribank North Thanh Hoa staff guide people in performing digital banking transactions.

For Ms. Pham Thi Duc, residing in Ngoc Son ward, cashless payments were not a frequent option before. Ms. Duc shared: “Previously, I often transacted using cash. This included things like depositing savings or paying family taxes and fees… Now, those tasks are simpler. I can transfer money directly on my phone, pay for goods with a card or by scanning a QR code. Even bills for electricity, water, tuition, and medical expenses can be paid electronically.”

Ms. Duc's story partly illustrates the changes in how people conduct financial transactions. Payments that were once accustomed to cash now offer more options. For those who frequently use smartphones, transferring money or paying via QR code and bank cards has become quite familiar. Meanwhile, for older people or those who do not regularly use electronic banking services, getting used to these methods still requires time and specific guidance.

During the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in national science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation , cashless payment is one of the areas experiencing significant changes. In Thanh Hoa, Agribank branches currently manage over 900,000 valid cards. By August 31, 2026, card service revenue from the three branches reached approximately VND 19.4 billion. Along with expanding the number of card users, the branches also focus on guiding customers to choose payment methods that suit their needs and ensure safe usage. Among these, the Loc Viet domestic credit card is an option for customers who need to spend, shop, and pay for goods and services domestically. Customers use the card within the granted credit limit and make payments according to the product's terms and conditions.

Digital transformation is not limited to everyday transactions like buying and selling or money transfers. In 2026, Agribank branches in the province supported 10 kiosks for 9 commune-level public administrative service centers and 35 kiosks at hospitals. The introduction of these devices contributes to the digitalization of administrative procedures and payments at these units, creating additional ways for people to perform certain tasks when conducting transactions.

From paying electricity bills via phone, scanning QR codes when making purchases, using cards at payment points, to making certain payments at hospitals or administrative agencies, electronic transaction methods are gradually appearing in many familiar activities. In this changing transaction process, the Loc Viet domestic credit card is one of the options offered to customers by Agribank branches, alongside other electronic payment methods.

To ensure that Loc Viet domestic credit cards and other digital payment methods truly become familiar tools, banks have assigned staff to directly guide people on how to use the cards, understand credit limits, payment deadlines, related fees, and information security precautions. This consultation and support during use helps customers be more proactive in controlling their spending and conducting transactions safely. In addition, expanding payment acceptance points, implementing electronic transaction methods, and supporting payments at administrative agencies, hospitals, etc., also creates more opportunities for people to gradually become familiar with digital transactions.
