After three successful seasons, the Piano Talent Festival returns with a new name: Vietnam International Piano Talent Competition 2027.
The competition is organized by the Vietnam Institute for Educational and Cultural Development, under the patronage of the Federation of UNESCO Associations of Vietnam and the world, and in collaboration with the Piano Assessment Association of Japan (PIARA Japan).

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnam Institute for Educational and Cultural Development and Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition, said that the Vietnam International Piano Talent Competition 2027 is expanding in scale and scope of participation, aiming to strengthen connections between Vietnamese piano talents and the international music community.
This year's competition is open to contestants aged 5 to 25, regardless of nationality; it will be held both online and in person.
According to the Head of the Organizing Committee, one of the highlights of the 2027 season is the Piano Talent Festival's collaboration with UNESCO Vietnam, aiming to expand educational , artistic, and international exchange connections. The organizing committee will invite and support contestants from 194 countries to participate in the competition.

Information about the competition will be disseminated to UNESCO member countries through embassies and official information channels. According to the cooperation plan, UNESCO will provide support, sponsorship, and guarantees for contestants from abroad to participate in the competition in Vietnam.
Mr. Tuan also emphasized that the organizing committee encourages contestants to perform Vietnamese works. However, contestants/organizations must proactively seek or purchase copyright for works, arrangements/mixes that have been published or registered for copyright in accordance with regulations.
Alongside its expansion, the 2027 Piano Talent Festival is also innovating its professional content. In addition to the Open, Professional, Artist, and Four-Hand Piano Duet categories, the competition is adding a Piano Concerto category – performance with a symphony orchestra – for contestants who won gold medals in previous seasons.
