On the evening of October 3rd, the Musique de Salon 22 concert, themed "Music and Cinema II," concluded in Hanoi, leaving many lasting impressions of a program where music, visuals, and cinematic stories were connected on the same stage.

With five vocalists: Trong Bac, Uyen Linh, Thuy Chi, Nguyen Ha, and Phan Manh Quynh – artists possessing their own unique styles and ways of conveying emotions – along with the Musique de Salon Orchestra (a chamber orchestra comprising 40 talented artists) under the direction of Music Director and composer Duc Tri, familiar sounds are retold in a different light.
From the very first minutes, the audience in the auditorium felt as if they had stepped into a completely different world . Instead of maintaining the feel of a film soundtrack, the songs developed in the language of a live concert. Each artist on stage was not simply performing a song, but also acting as a guide, leading the audience back to vivid cinematic memories.

Trong Bac opened the emotional journey with the timeless love song "Love Story" from the film of the same name. His warm, soulful voice touched every beat of the listener's heart, portraying a love that was both poignant and tinged with regret.
Next, with "Thuong" (soundtrack from the film "The Apple Tree Blooms" ) and "Con Duong Thien Ly" (soundtrack from the film "Do Doc"), he continued to take the audience through the somber notes of fate and human relationships. The audience also relived the atmosphere of the touching scenes through the two songs "Taking Someone Else's Husband" and "Immortal Legend," where the oil lamp light and the homeland landscape appeared comforting.

Nguyen Ha appeared radiating gentleness and serenity. With "Suddenly Wanting to Cry" and "I'll Tell You," her clear voice evoked memories of youth. When she performed "Closing My Eyes and Seeing Summer" and "The Secret of the Wind," the audience felt immersed in a romantic atmosphere, gently dispelling everyday worries. The melody of "Brilliant May" then concluded her performance to thunderous applause.

When Thùy Chi began to sing, the entire hall fell silent. Her poignant rendition of "My Sister" (from the film " The People of Hanoi" ) evoked the image of Vietnamese women – steadfast, gentle, yet resilient. Then, in "Silent Footsteps" (from the "Criminal Police" series) , Thùy Chi's voice created a moment of profound reflection, a deep tribute to the unsung heroes. This gentle, delicate quality was maintained through the song "Keep Me Going" (from the film "The Lavender Season").

Phan Mạnh Quỳnh's simple, storytelling-like singing style brought moments of profound silence to the audience. The song "There's a Boy Who Wrote on a Tree" (from the movie "Mắt Biếc ") resonated with nostalgia, bringing many viewers to tears as they found a part of their own youth reflected in it. The series of songs "After the Rejection" (from the movie "Mai") and "From Then On" (from "Mắt Biếc") further enhanced his performance. It continues to demonstrate its ability to touch the deepest emotions of listeners through melodies that are both simple and poignant.

Uyen Linh impressed the audience with her powerful and passionate rendition of " Waiting for You There" (from the movie "Beauty Trap "). Keeping the energy high, Uyen Linh captivated listeners with " If There Was a Day " (from the movie " The Old Lady with Many Tricks") and delivered an explosive performance of the international hit "I Have Nothing" (from the movie " The Bodyguard").
It's impossible not to mention the outstanding instrumental highlights of the evening. The excerpt from Journey to the West, along with world classics like The Incredibles and Magnificent Seven, performed by the Musique de Salon Orchestra, were truly captivating.
