Voters suggest that relevant authorities increase inspections and enforcement; and consider mechanisms to support, incentivize, or establish long-term contracts with waste collection units to enable them to invest in upgrading vehicles and waste collection technology to meet environmental standards.
Voters in Hiep Hung commune have reported that after the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units, funding for environmental protection teams and waste collection teams under the Hau Giang Green Project has ceased, causing difficulties in clearing bushes, unclogging drains, and collecting waste. Voters request that the city consider and continue to allocate appropriate funding to maintain environmental protection activities at the local level.
Voters in Dong Phuoc commune requested support in providing personal protective equipment and fully implementing policies and regulations for waste collection workers to ensure working conditions and improve the effectiveness of environmental protection. Voters in Thot Not ward requested the early planning and investment in the construction of a centralized waste collection and transfer site to meet the needs of collecting and processing household waste in the locality.
