The cloud area tends to continue developing and expanding further.
This convective cloud system continues to cause showers and thunderstorms in the wards and communes of Vật Lại, Phúc Sơn, Hồng Sơn, Ứng Thiên, Hòa Phú, Quảng Bị, Thanh Oai, Bình Minh, and other areas of Hanoi city. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, strong gusts of wind, flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on slopes. The level of natural disaster risk due to tornadoes, lightning, and hail is level 1.
Regarding the flash flood and landslide situation, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that rain will continue in the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh over the next 6 hours. A warning has been issued regarding the risk of flash floods and landslides in these areas.
Accordingly, from 7:30 PM on October 4th to 12:30 AM on October 5th, the aforementioned provinces will continue to experience rain with accumulated rainfall generally ranging from 40-80mm, and in some places exceeding 120mm. Level 1 risk of natural disasters due to flash floods, landslides, and land subsidence caused by heavy rain or runoff.
At sea, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting reports that on the night of October 4th and during the day of October 5th, the Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to An Giang, the Gulf of Thailand , the northern part of the East Sea (including the Hoang Sa special zone) and the southern part of the East Sea (including the Truong Sa special zone) will experience showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a high possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind at level 7-8, and waves over 2 meters high.
Warning: On the night of October 5th, the Gulf of Tonkin will experience northeasterly winds of force 6, sometimes force 7, gusting to force 8-9, with waves 2-3 meters high and rough seas. Winds will gradually decrease from October 6th. The northern part of the South China Sea will experience strong northeasterly winds of force 6-7, gusting to force 8-9, with waves 2-4 meters high and rough seas. From October 6th, the strong wind zone will expand to the entire South China Sea (including the Hoang Sa Special Economic Zone).
