Venezuela to attend International Arts and Culture Day in Hanoi

At the invitation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Venezuela will send an art troupe with the participation of famous artists from this South American country to attend the first "International Arts and Culture Day in Hanoi" event, which will take place on October 4 and 5.

That is the information Venezuelan Culture Minister Ernesto Villegas shared at a working session with Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My on September 22 (local time) in the capital Caracas.

Venezuelan Culture Minister Ernesto Villegas emphasized that Venezuela highly values ​​and appreciates the initiative to organize the "Hanoi International Arts and Culture Day", an international event organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Hanoi City; affirming that this event is not only a cultural exchange festival between Vietnam and other countries in the world, including Venezuela, but also an opportunity for countries around the world to introduce the cultural beauty of each other to promote cultural exchange, build friendship, for peace , cooperation and development.

Minister Ernesto Villegas said that due to the importance of the event, Venezuela chose to send the Tamboriprimo band with more than 25 years of experience, one of the typical bands representing Venezuelan culture and identity.

In particular, the Venezuelan art troupe will have the participation of artist, Venezuelan National Assembly member Ali Alejandro Primera - nephew of the late People's Artist, Venezuelan revolutionary Ali Primera, who has many songs praising President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader, national liberation hero, outstanding cultural celebrity, outstanding soldier of the world revolutionary movement, such as: "Forever Ho Chi Minh" (Inolvidable Ho Chi Minh), "Portrait of Ho Chi Minh" (La figura de Ho Chi Minh) and "Vietnamese Woman" (La Mujer de Vietnam)... Artist Ali Alejandro Primera will directly perform these immortal songs at the event "Hanoi International Arts and Culture Day", bringing to the Vietnamese people and international friends the message of peace, international solidarity, and love for humanity that President Ho Chi Minh always wished for.

Ambassador Vu Trung My sincerely thanked the Venezuelan Ministry of Culture and Minister Ernesto Villegas personally for their sentiments and attention in sending an art troupe to attend the first "International Arts and Culture Day in Hanoi" event; believing that the participation of the Venezuelan art troupe will contribute to the success of this international event, contributing to connecting and promoting people-to-people exchanges, enhancing mutual understanding and trust between Vietnam and other countries in general and between Vietnam and Venezuela in particular.

Speaking to the local press after the meeting, Ambassador Vu Trung My introduced in detail the event "International Arts and Culture Day in Hanoi", including art performances, cuisine, cinema, fine arts, costume shows, book exhibitions of participating countries, aiming to build an annual international cultural diplomacy activity with the motto "Culture is the foundation - Art is the means"; emphasizing that the event will be held at Thang Long Imperial Citadel - a UNESCO-recognized World Heritage Site, a massive architectural work and the most important relic complex in the system of relics in Vietnam in the capital Hanoi.

Venezuelan National Assembly member Ali Alejandro Primera - nephew of the late People's Artist and Venezuelan revolutionary Ali Primera, who wrote many songs praising President Ho Chi Minh, will perform these immortal songs at the event "Hanoi International Arts and Culture Day".

Ambassador Vu Trung My believes that the Venezuelan art troupe with the participation of artist Ali Alejandro Primera with historical songs praising President Ho Chi Minh as well as the Tamboriprimo band will be warmly welcomed by Vietnamese audiences and international friends.

Also according to the Venezuelan Minister of Culture, the Tamboriprimo music group is a unique combination of traditional Afro-Venezuelan-Caribbean sounds, ancient European melodies and indigenous music to create a unique sound, honoring cultural diversity, under the direction of veteran Venezuelan folk artist, Juan Jose Gutierrez.

In particular, through their works, the Tamboriprimo band promotes core values ​​such as peace, solidarity and civilized coexistence among people, regardless of race, color, gender, origin or religion.
