According to information from the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), the second World Culture Festival in Hanoi continues to expand in scale with the participation of 50 countries, international organizations and businesses, contributing to affirming the widespread influence of an international cultural diplomacy event.

The highlights of the festival include 45 cultural spaces, 35 food stalls; a film screening program featuring participation from 18 countries; a fashion space with traditional costumes submitted by 19 countries; and 20 international art troupes. Many activities promise to create a multicultural artistic and musical exchange throughout the four days of the festival.

In particular, the "Spreading Creativity from Heritage - International Games Festival" area offers a new experiential space, connecting historical and cultural values ​​with technology and creative industries. Here, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with Vietnamese businesses, introduces, releases, and operates video games inspired by Vietnamese history and culture, creating opportunities for the public to directly experience and explore heritage through modern interactive forms.

The opening ceremony of the festival took place at 8 PM on October 1st at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Central Relic Site, 119C Hoang Dieu Street, Ba Dinh Ward, Hanoi, with the participation of art troupes from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia , South Korea, Laos, Pakistan, Peru, and Ukraine.

On the Vietnamese side, the program features Honorary Professor and Artist Chu Bao Que, People's Artist Trong Phuc, singers Truc Nhan, Hoa Minzy, Duc Phuc, Hoang Bach, Ha Myo, GOM Show, Thu Ha (drummer), Thanh Am Xanh Group, Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theatre, Bac Ninh Quan Ho Theatre, Trong Dong Group, Tay Nguyen Gong Art Troupe, Vietnam Circus and Variety Arts College, Olympia School, Lion Dance Club, Sao Tuoi Tho Children's Club, and Tre Dance Troupe. The program is hosted by MC Duc Bao and MC Phi Linh.

The second World Culture Festival in Hanoi is the kick-off event for Vietnam's proposed initiative on the "International Decade for Culture for Sustainable Development" (2027-2036), which was recently adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. Through this, the festival contributes to spreading the message about the role of culture in promoting dialogue, connectivity, and sustainable development.

The festival is expected to create a cultural highlight for foreign relations in 2026, attracting the attention of the public and domestic and international media; at the same time, it will create a space for cultures to meet, exchange, and share unique values, thereby promoting the image of Vietnam, the capital Hanoi, and the country's cultural values ​​and heritage to international friends.

Through this festival, Hanoi – a UNESCO Creative City – continues to be a meeting point of diverse global cultures, where traditional values ​​are celebrated, new innovations are disseminated, and friendship and exchange between Vietnam and international friends are further strengthened.
