The Opening Night, themed "Convergence of Heritage - Shaping the Future," opens an artistic journey celebrating Vietnam from the depths of its heritage to a global exchange space.
One of the highlights of the program is the 3D mapping projection on Doan Mon Gate, offering a stunning visual experience; recreating Vietnamese cultural symbols, heritage, and landscapes in a vibrant, multi-dimensional space.
The opening ceremony featured performances by numerous artists and art groups, including Honorary Professor and Doctor Chu Bao Que, People's Artist Trong Phuc, singers Truc Nhan, Hoa Minzy, Duc Phuc, Hoang Bach, Ha Myo, GOM show, solo drummer Thu Ha, Thanh Am Xanh Group; Hue Royal Court Traditional Arts Theatre, Bac Ninh Quan Ho Theatre, Trong Dong Group, Tay Nguyen Gong Art Troupe...

The program is a sophisticated blend of traditional heritage and contemporary artistic language, with the following main chapters:
Diverse Vietnam: A complete recreation of the identity of 54 ethnic groups through the performance " Mother's Lullaby ," a medley of folk songs from the three regions, Hue Royal Court Music, the song "Southern Land," and the Quan Ho melodies of Bac Ninh.
Five Continents Converge: A vibrant blend of colors from international art troupes (China, Russia, Peru, Bangladesh, Indonesia , Pakistan, Israel, Azerbaijan, Laos, Ukraine, South Korea...), affirming the spirit of respect for the diversity of human cultures.
Development & a Bright Future: The vitality of Gen Z is ignited as folk elements blend with Rap, Hip-hop, and EDM through performances by Hoa Minzy, Duc Phuc, Truc Nhan, Ha Myo, and Hoang Bach.
Earlier, on the evening of September 30th, the dress rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the second World Cultural Festival in Hanoi took place at Thang Long Imperial Citadel . Attending the rehearsal were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Festival. The opening ceremony will take place at 8 PM on October 1st at Thang Long Imperial Citadel. The program will be broadcast live on VTV1 and the national digital television platform VTVgo of Vietnam Television.
With the theme " Convergence of Heritage – Shaping the Future ," the second World Cultural Festival in Hanoi was held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's membership in UNESCO. The festival was not only a place to showcase the diverse cultures of Vietnam and other countries around the world, but also a space for cultural dialogue, where each nation brought its own unique values and found common ground in their diversity.
The festival features 45 cultural spaces, 35 food stalls, a film screening program with participation from 16 countries, a fashion space with traditional costumes submitted by 19 countries, and the participation of 20 international art troupes; promising to create multicultural musical exchange spaces throughout the festival.
