The festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , and the Hanoi People's Committee, aims to celebrate the cultural diversity of countries around the world, while promoting the image of Vietnam and its people to international friends.
During the dress rehearsal, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong gave specific instructions to the program's production team.
According to the Deputy Minister, the opening ceremony of the Festival needs to be meticulously and professionally prepared, not only to ensure artistic quality but also to provide domestic and international audiences with unique and novel cultural experiences.
This is also an opportunity for Vietnamese artists to showcase their creative abilities, their spirit of integration, and their aspiration to reach the world through the language of art.
On this occasion, the Deputy Minister acknowledged and commended the serious, creative, and enthusiastic work ethic of the artists, actors, and production team.
The Deputy Minister requested the production team to continue a comprehensive review of the program, from content and script to staging and performance, ensuring that all stages are closely coordinated, unified, and meet the required artistic quality standards.
The performances need to be perfected in both content and presentation, creating a cohesive program that is rich in identity and appropriate for the international cultural exchange space of the Festival.
The opening art program clearly embodies the spirit of the second World Cultural Festival in Hanoi , showcasing the unique values of Vietnamese culture through contemporary art that is accessible and capable of connecting with the international audience.
With the theme " Convergence of Heritage – Shaping the Future ," the second World Cultural Festival in Hanoi was held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's membership in UNESCO. The festival was not only a place to showcase the diverse cultures of Vietnam and other countries around the world, but also a space for cultural dialogue, where each nation brought its own unique values and found common ground in their diversity.
The festival features 45 cultural spaces, 35 food stalls, a film screening program with participation from 16 countries, a fashion space with traditional costumes submitted by 19 countries, and the participation of 20 international art troupes; promising to create multicultural musical exchange spaces throughout the festival.
The opening ceremony will take place at 8 PM on October 1st at Thang Long Imperial Citadel . The program will be broadcast live on VTV1 and the national digital television platform VTVgo of Vietnam Television.
