Attending the program were Major General Tran Chi Tam , Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Region, and Head of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee of the Military Region; Colonel Nguyen Nhu Truc, Deputy Head of the Political Department of Military Region 7; heads of agencies of Military Region 7; Colonel Nguyen Thanh Phong, City Party Committee Member and Political Commissar of the Dong Nai City Military Command; Nguyen Tat Do, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai City; Luu Van Suu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Song Ray Commune; Phan Tan Tai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Song Ray Commune; and representatives from various agencies, units, and localities.
Speaking at the program, Colonel Nguyen Trong Thai, Deputy Head of Logistics and Technical Department of Military Region 7, said: medical examinations, health consultations, and free medicine distribution for the people are among the activities in the grassroots-oriented civilian mobilization program organized by Military Region 7 in coordination with Cong Ly Newspaper, the Dong Nai City Military Command, Division 302, Military Hospital 7B, and Song Ray commune.
Accordingly, 200 residents of Song Ray commune received free medical examinations, health consultations, medication, and gifts, totaling 500,000 VND per person, of which 200,000 VND was for medication.
The activities aim to improve people's healthcare, express gratitude to families of those who rendered meritorious services to the revolution, and strengthen grassroots-oriented mass mobilization work of the Armed Forces of Military Region 7 and Dong Nai City. This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the Party's tradition of mass mobilization work (October 15, 1930 - October 15, 2026).
Along with medical examinations, on October 3rd, officers and soldiers of the 302nd Division, the Dong Nai City Military Command, the National Shooting Range Area 3, together with local armed forces, teachers, youth union members, and students of Song Ray commune participated in dredging and clearing approximately 800m of the La Hoa canal; relocating and installing playground equipment; coloring, drawing, and decorating the grounds of Lam San Kindergarten, Hamlet 5.
Integrating legal awareness campaigns with mass mobilization efforts.
Propaganda and mobilization activities among ethnic and religious communities in Hamlet 5, Song Ray Commune, were implemented alongside cultural and artistic exchange programs. Approximately 200 cadres, soldiers, teachers, youth union members, and students received training in traditional Cambodian dances and folk dances for group activities.
At the Chơ Ro ethnic minority community center, Military Region 7 held an inauguration ceremony for a sports facility costing a total of 200 million VND. The project included clearing vegetation, general cleaning, painting the building and gate; pouring concrete for the access road and courtyard of the community center; and installing a set of outdoor sports equipment.
On this occasion, 10 disadvantaged households received gifts, each worth 1 million VND, including 300,000 VND in goods and 700,000 VND in cash. The program also commenced the construction of a "House of Gratitude" for the family of Mr. Nguyen Song Toan, Hamlet 3, Song Ray Commune, worth 80 million VND.
In addition, there were cultural exchange activities, legal awareness campaigns, and gift-giving to 60 disadvantaged households, contributing to bringing legal content closer to people's lives.
The program also includes an exhibition showcasing books, award-winning works from competitions, and photo displays promoting the heroic examples of the armed forces of the Military Region; cultural exchanges, and the dissemination and education of laws.
Through these activities, Military Region 7 aims to enhance the effectiveness of disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations; to cultivate awareness and a sense of compliance with the law and discipline among officers, soldiers of the armed forces, and the people. This contributes to strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people, effectively carrying out propaganda and mass mobilization work, and spreading the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" and the image of the soldiers of Military Region 7 in the new situation.
