Many students confidently conduct interviews in English, Chinese, and Japanese.

This morning, the job fair at the University of Technology (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) attracted more than 150 participating businesses, offering approximately 2,000 job openings across various industries. In addition to domestic companies, the fair also featured firms from Japan , Taiwan, China, and other countries, creating diverse employment opportunities for young workers.

Notably, instead of just learning about job openings and submitting applications, students can directly participate in interviews at the job fair. Some candidates even have the opportunity to showcase their language skills by participating in interviews conducted entirely in English, Japanese, or Chinese with representatives from foreign companies.

Notably, at some companies, candidates only need to pass the in-person interview at the job fair to be officially hired, without having to go through any further interview rounds. This opportunity attracts many recent graduates and soon-to-be graduates to learn more and apply.

Having just completed a 30-minute interview in English with a recruiter from a plastics corporation, Nguyen Tran Nguyen Ba, a recent graduate in chemical engineering from the University of Technology (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), said he applied for a color matching engineer position.

"I answered the interview questions in English. If I get the job, the company will send me an email notification and I can start working right away," Bá shared.

According to Bá, being interviewed in person gave him more practical experience and a better understanding of the requirements of the job he was applying for. "Through the recruiter's questions, I also learned if my personality was suitable for the job, and if my previous experiences met the requirements of this position. This was also an opportunity for me to communicate and gain more experience in job interviews," Bá said.

Taking advantage of the job fair, Tran Ma Tai, a final-year student majoring in integrated circuit design at the University of Technology (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), participated in direct interviews with four companies. Tai said that the fair not only helped students connect with many businesses in their specialized field but also opened up opportunities to learn about related professions.

"Whether I get hired or not, I think this is still a useful experience. Through the interviews, we gain more experience and a better understanding of job requirements and the culture of each company. If I haven't found a position that matches my major, I can also consider related fields," Tài shared.
