On the afternoon of September 21st, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong chaired a meeting with the diplomatic corps to provide information about the second World Culture Festival in Hanoi. The program was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Hanoi People's Committee, diplomatic agencies, and international organizations in Vietnam.
Following the success of the inaugural event in 2025, this year's festival has expanded in both scale and content. The event brings together nearly 50 countries, international organizations, and businesses, creating a space for cultures to interact, showcase their identities, and share unique cultural values.

The festival features 45 cultural spaces, 32 culinary spaces; a film screening program with participation from 18 countries; and a fashion space showcasing traditional costumes from 19 nations. Nearly 20 international art troupes will also participate, bringing a series of performances and multicultural musical exchanges.
In addition to exhibitions, performances, food, film, and fashion, this year's festival focuses on connecting heritage with technology and creative industries.
Notably, the "Spreading Creativity from Heritage - International Games Festival" area showcases video games inspired by Vietnamese history and culture. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with Vietnamese businesses, organized activities to introduce, release, and experience game products, thereby bringing the public, especially young people, closer to heritage through modern interactive methods.
This space also features cosplay performances, combining dance moves from the game Audition with LED screen effects, creating a youthful and vibrant highlight in the overall festival.
According to the organizers, the combination of heritage and creativity, tradition and contemporaryity aims to broaden approaches to culture, while creating more opportunities for connection between countries in the fields of culture, art, tourism, and creative industries.

The second World Culture Festival in Hanoi also served as an opportunity to promote the image of Vietnam and the capital city of Hanoi to international friends. Through exchange activities, performances, and experiences, the event contributed to introducing the cultural values and heritage of Vietnam in interaction with cultures around the world.
With the theme "Convergence of Heritage - Shaping the Future," the festival aims to create an open cultural space where traditional values are celebrated, contemporary innovations are showcased, and international cultural connections are expanded.
The event is expected to become a highlight of cultural diplomacy in 2026, contributing to promoting the role of Hanoi – a UNESCO Creative City – as a meeting point for exchange and dissemination of cultural values between Vietnam and the international community.
