Also attending were representatives from relevant departments and units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , the Hanoi People's Committee, as well as representatives from diplomatic agencies and international organizations in Vietnam.
Cultural dialogue
The meeting aimed to provide information on the program, content, organization, and main activities of the Festival, and to strengthen coordination with diplomatic missions in the preparation and implementation of activities.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized that Hanoi is a city with a thousand-year history, where many layers of culture have met, interacted, and been enriched through generations. In this flow, culture is not only about preserving values, but also about the means by which people understand, respect, and build lasting connections with each other.
In that spirit, the second World Cultural Festival in Hanoi, themed " Convergence of Heritage - Shaping the Future ," was organized to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's membership in UNESCO. The festival was not only a place to showcase the diverse cultures of Vietnam and other countries around the world, but also a space for cultural dialogue, where each nation brought its own unique values and found common ground amidst diversity.
According to Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong, compared to the first time, this year's festival has expanded in both scale and content, with the participation of 50 countries, international organizations and businesses, along with many activities related to culture, art, music , cuisine, film, fashion and creative industries.
These figures first and foremost reflect the interest and support of international friends. But more importantly, they represent the contribution of each nation to a shared cultural landscape.

“The greatest value of an international cultural event lies not only in the programs organized, but also in the encounters, new understandings, and relationships formed as a result. Each culture present in Hanoi adds a unique color to the overall picture. It is this diversity that gives the festival its vitality,” Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong emphasized.
The Deputy Minister expressed confidence that the Festival will create a prominent cultural highlight in foreign relations in 2026, attracting the attention of the public and domestic and international media.
The festival contributes to making Hanoi – a UNESCO Creative City – a meeting point of diverse global cultures, where traditional values are celebrated, new innovations are disseminated, and bridges of friendship between Vietnam and international friends are strengthened.

On this occasion, the Deputy Minister respectfully expressed his gratitude to the embassies, representative offices, and international organizations for their interest, registration, and active cooperation with the Organizing Committee throughout the period. From preparing art troupes, traditional costumes, films, cultural booths, and food to every technical and logistical aspect, all have made significant contributions to the preparation of the Festival.
In the coming period, the Organizing Committee hopes to continue receiving the close, proactive cooperation and support of embassies, diplomatic missions, international organizations, and participating units. The Organizing Committee will create the most favorable conditions for international delegations, while ensuring that the festival's activities are implemented meticulously, safely, and effectively.
A vibrant cultural space
Informing diplomatic delegations, Nguyen Phuong Hoa, Director of the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Festival Organizing Board, said that following the success of the first festival in 2025, the second World Culture Festival in Hanoi will take place from October 1-4 at Thang Long Imperial Citadel .

The festival continues to promote the spirit of exchange, connection, and co-creation through culture, while expanding in scale, diversifying content, and enriching the forms of experience. The activities are designed to create a vibrant cultural space where countries showcase their identities, heritage, and distinctive cultural values, while also opening up new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of culture, arts, tourism, and creative industries.
With an expanded scale and more diverse content compared to the first edition, the festival features 45 cultural spaces, 35 food stalls, a film screening program with participation from 18 countries, a fashion space with traditional costumes submitted by 19 countries, and the participation of 20 international art troupes; promising to create multicultural musical exchange spaces throughout the festival.

Within the framework of this year's festival, the "Creative Spreading from Heritage - International Festival Games" area offers a new experiential space, connecting historical and cultural values with technology and creative industries.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will collaborate with Vietnamese businesses to introduce, release, and operate video games inspired by Vietnamese history and culture, creating opportunities for the public to directly experience and explore heritage through modern interactive forms. Cosplay performances, combined with dance moves from the Audition game and LED screen effects, will create a youthful, vibrant, and engaging experience at the festival.
Through a blend of heritage and innovation, tradition and contemporaneity, Vietnam and the world, the festival aims to build an open cultural space where cultures not only meet and share but also forge profound connections.

From values passed down through generations to contemporary creative forms, the Festival paints a colorful picture of culture, while affirming Hanoi as an international cultural destination, a place where the heritage, art, and creativity of Vietnam and the international community converge and spread.
At the meeting, representatives from diplomatic delegations asked the Organizing Committee many questions regarding related topics, demonstrating their particular interest in the event.
