The Hanoi Department of Construction has requested the City's Traffic Management and Operation Center to urgently finalize the plan for organizing and operating the interprovincial electric bus route between Gia Lam Bus Station and Hung Yen Bus Station with subsidies before October 5th.
Previously, the Hanoi People's Committee had agreed in principle to the proposal of the Hanoi Transport Corporation to study and adjust the interprovincial electric bus route plan from Gia Lam Bus Station to Hung Yen Bus Station from a "non-subsidized" to a "subsidized" model.
During the planning process, the City's Traffic Management and Operation Center coordinated with relevant units to review and assess the current state of the public passenger transport network on the Hanoi - Hung Yen route; clarifying the degree of overlap in routes, stops, service areas, and the ability to connect with existing routes.

At the same time, units also need to determine travel demand and projected passenger volume; develop economic and technical indicators, frequency, schedules, operating hours, and the number of vehicles suitable to actual needs. The operational plan must ensure efficiency, service quality, and the ability to attract passengers.
The Hanoi Department of Construction has instructed the City's Traffic Management and Operation Center to finalize the plan and report it to the department before October 5, 2026.
The Planning and Finance Department is assigned to coordinate with the Hanoi Department of Finance and relevant units to guide the development of cost estimates and subsidy plans for the electric bus route according to regulations; review and appraise the contents regarding operating costs, projected revenue, subsidy levels, and budget funding needs; and evaluate the socio-economic effectiveness, budget utilization efficiency, and the city's ability to balance budget resources to implement the route.
The Transport Department is assigned to coordinate with specialized agencies of Hung Yen province to finalize details related to the route, starting and ending points, stops, itinerary, and operating hours.
The Hanoi Department of Construction has requested the Hanoi Transport Corporation to proactively coordinate with units under the Department to urgently review and finalize the operational plan; ensuring the necessary vehicles, personnel, and conditions to operate the route according to the assigned schedule.
