The 11th Hanoi Book Fair took place from October 1st to 4th, directed by the Hanoi People's Committee and organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , with the participation of more than 30 publishers and book distributors nationwide.

The event is part of a series of activities commemorating the 72nd anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi and the 74th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Publishing, Printing and Book Distribution Industry.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha said that, along with the development of science, technology and digital transformation, Hanoi pays special attention to books and reading culture, identifying this as an important method to preserve knowledge, transmit cultural values ​​and cultivate human intellect.

According to the Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Hanoi is orienting the development of the capital's culture in the spirit of "Cultural Heritage - Identity - Creativity - Integration - Connection". With its position as a hub for many publishing houses, distribution companies, and publishing partnerships, the city has favorable conditions to develop a reading culture and meet the people's need for access to knowledge.

After 10 editions, the 11th Hanoi Book Fair in 2026 continues to expand its book display space, with two thematic exhibition areas showcasing hundreds of representative books.

These include publications from the "Thang Long Millennium Cultural Heritage Book Collection," the "Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Electronic Book Collection," and the "Science and Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Book Collection." Besides the exhibition, the Book Fair also organizes discussions, seminars, and introduces new publications on topics related to the history, culture, life, and people of Hanoi.

The Hanoi Book Fair not only creates a space for readers to find suitable books but also contributes to fostering a spirit of learning, connecting traditional values ​​with modern knowledge and technology.
