On the afternoon of October 4th, the finals took place and the champions were determined. Notably, in the men's doubles category for players aged 66-70, two foreign players, Lim Mooi Hock and Wong Kwong Hang (Westlake Brunei Club), won against Nguyen Thanh Chuong and Pham Quang Dich (Robot Club).

The Robotics Club achieved the best overall performance, winning 13 out of 22 events.

The total prize money for the 2026 Ho Chi Minh City Open Badminton Tournament for Seniors and Age Groups amounts to over 400 million VND. Each champion will receive 2 million VND and two high-quality rackets.

Having been held for over 30 editions, the Ho Chi Minh City Senior and Age Group Badminton Tournament has become a playground for those who love this sport. It also provides an opportunity for athletes of various ages to improve their competitive skills.

The goal of this year's tournament is to strengthen solidarity, exchange, learning, and sharing of experiences among generations of athletes, clubs, and organizations. It affirms the concern of all levels of government, sectors, and society as a whole for the physical education and sports movement for middle-aged and elderly people, spreading the message "Live healthy - Live happily - Live usefully".

Through this tournament, we aim to further build and develop the grassroots badminton movement in a widespread and sustainable manner. We will identify and encourage positive individuals to participate in grassroots sports movements, contributing to improving the quality of activities of badminton clubs in the area.
