The project aims to upgrade the dilapidated facilities of Nguyen Hien High School, ensuring safety, a suitable environment, and conditions for teaching; while also improving the quality of education and meeting the needs of students in the area and surrounding regions.

Accordingly, the project will demolish the existing dilapidated and damaged buildings, including the two-story classroom block No. 7, the two-story classroom block No. 9, and some auxiliary structures.

Based on that, the city invested in the construction of two new buildings, each with 5 floors plus a rooftop. Specifically, Block 7 houses 20 classrooms, with a construction area of ​​approximately 718.73 m² and a total floor area of ​​approximately 3,502.44 m². Block 9 houses 8 subject-specific classrooms, teacher's lounges, and restrooms, with a construction area of ​​approximately 420.64 m² and a total floor area of ​​approximately 2,141.58 m².

The project also aims to raise the ground level of the school grounds to prevent flooding during the rainy season; renovate and upgrade existing buildings for continued use; and renovate and construct auxiliary facilities such as courtyards, fences and gates, guardhouses, parking lots, sports fields, landscaping, greenery, and technical infrastructure. Construction equipment, fire safety equipment, and equipment for teaching and office use are also included in the project.

After the upgrade, the school now has 30 classrooms, an increase of 7, and 10 subject-specific classrooms, an increase of 4; it also includes administrative offices, work rooms, functional rooms, and an additional indoor multi-purpose court.

The total investment for the project will not exceed VND 107.21 billion, funded from the city's budget.

The project will be implemented from 2026 to 2029; with the 2026-2027 period for investment preparation and the 2027-2029 period for investment implementation.

The Da Nang Project Management Board for Civil, Industrial and Infrastructure Construction Projects is assigned as the investor and project manager, responsible for managing and implementing the project to ensure quality, efficiency, and completion of all required documents and procedures.
