The "Second World Culture Festival in Hanoi," jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , and the People's Committee of Hanoi, took place to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's membership in UNESCO.

The opening night was themed "Gathering Heritage - Shaping the Future".
According to information from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the opening night will take place at 8 PM on October 1st with the theme "Convergence of Heritage - Shaping the Future". The program opens an artistic journey honoring the profound roots of Vietnamese heritage to a global exchange space, connecting traditional materials with contemporary artistic language. The program consists of 3 parts:
Diverse Vietnam: Recreating the identity of 54 ethnic groups through the performance "Mother's Lullaby," a medley of folk songs from the three regions, Hue Royal Court Music, the song "Southern Land," and the Quan Ho melodies of Bac Ninh .
Five continents converge: A vibrant space of cultural exchange featuring international art troupes from China, Russia, Peru, Bangladesh, Indonesia , Pakistan, Israel, Azerbaijan, Laos, Ukraine, South Korea, and more.
Development & a Bright Future: The vitality of Gen Z is ignited as folk elements blend with Rap, Hip-hop, and EDM through performances by Hoa Minzy, Duc Phuc, Truc Nhan, Ha Myo, and Hoang Bach.

Visit and experience the Vietnam Ethnic Groups Cultural and Tourism Village.
As part of the festival, on the morning of October 2nd, international delegates visited and experienced the Vietnam Ethnic Groups Cultural and Tourism Village, learning about customs, traditions, and traditional crafts, interacting with ethnic communities, and enjoying folk art and traditional cuisine.
Street parade "Colors of the Five Continents"
At 4 PM on October 3rd, 15 international art troupes from Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America showcased diverse cultural colors alongside Vietnamese artisans and artists in a street parade and a fashion show featuring the ao dai and traditional costumes. The program combined stage performances and pedestrian street spaces, creating an open and vibrant cultural exchange, introducing the beauty, identity, and distinctive cultural values of the participating countries.
Music Festival “Concert of Five Continents”
On October 2-3, at the circular stage of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, the "Concert of Five Continents" series opened up a space for direct interaction between artists and the public, showcasing the diversity of art forms, music, and cultural identities from many regions around the world.
At the "Multinational Music Dialogue" program: Art troupes from different continents participate in performances, showcasing various musical forms, instruments, and unique aspects of each country's cultural life, contributing to increased understanding and connection between cultures.
With the theme "Connecting Heritage with Contemporary Life," the program combines traditional cultural values with modern expression methods and technology through activities such as Cultural Cosplay - A Crossover of Vietnamese Colors and the Audition - Developing with Vietnamese Culture, produced by VTC.
The "Concert of Five Continents" program: At the circular stage of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, artists from various continents will introduce different musical forms, instruments, and unique aspects of their respective countries' cultural lives, creating direct interaction with the audience.
The closing night was themed "Colors Converge - Hand in Hand Towards the Future".
Concluding the four-day festival, the closing ceremony took place at 8 PM on October 4th with the message "Closing the festival - Opening a new journey of connection".
The music festival was filled with emotion, featuring a mashup of "Phong Nu - Co Doi Thuong Ngan," a medley of "Ho Hue - Ly Muoi Thuong - Ly Ngua O," and "Da Co Hoai Lang"...
The closing performance of "Hand in Hand" brought the program to a close, featuring Vietnamese and international artists creating a beautiful image of unity under the Hanoi sky, while affirming that culture is the most enduring bridge to peace and friendship.

The "Second World Culture Festival in Hanoi" was directed and overseen by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong. Participating artists included Hoa Minzy, Duc Phuc, Hoang Bach, Truc Nhan, Vo Trong Phuc, Chu Bao Que, Ha Myo, Solo Drummer Truong Thu Ha, along with the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Troupe, the Hue Royal Court Traditional Arts Theatre, the Central Highlands Gong Ensemble, Thanh Am Xanh Group, Gom Show, and international art troupes.
The event brings together 50 countries and international organizations, showcasing diverse forms of culture, art, and experiences, creating a space for exchange and interaction between cultures, and strengthening understanding and friendship between Vietnam and international friends.
The festival features 45 cultural spaces, 35 food stalls; 18 countries registered to participate in the film screening program; 15 countries submitted traditional costumes for the fashion space; and 20 international art troupes performed. The activities span four days, encompassing exhibitions, food, film, fashion, art performances, and cultural experiences.
