Accordingly, the World Cultural Festival in Hanoi is an annual international cultural diplomacy event that uses "culture as the foundation and art as the means" to connect nations; thereby promoting people-to-people exchanges and strengthening mutual understanding and trust between Vietnam and the international community.

The festival aims to enhance the cultural and spiritual life and aesthetic appreciation of the people of Hanoi in particular and the whole country in general. It contributes to building a modern cultural and entertainment ecosystem, helping Vietnam catch up with global creative economic trends; strongly stimulates the cultural and tourism industries, creates jobs and promotes domestic consumption.
The festival is scheduled to take place from October 1st to 4th, 2026, with activities organized at Thang Long Imperial Citadel , Ho Guom Walking Street, and the Vietnam Ethnic Groups Cultural and Tourism Village.
