The festival, held from October 1st to 4th at Thang Long Imperial Citadel , was themed "Gathering Heritage - Shaping the Future," commemorating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's membership in UNESCO. This year's festival saw the participation of nearly 50 countries, international organizations, and businesses.

According to the program, the festival features 45 cultural spaces, 32 food stalls, a film screening program with participation from 18 countries, a fashion space with traditional costumes submitted by 19 countries, and nearly 20 international art troupes. Activities range from exhibitions, performances, food, film, fashion, to music and heritage experiences.

The opening and closing ceremonies are expected to feature traditional art programs with the participation of many domestic and international art troupes. Several young artists beloved by the audience, such as Truc Nhan, Duc Phuc, Hoa Minzy, Huong Tram, Anh Tu, etc., will participate in the art programs within the framework of the festival.

A new feature of this year's festival is the "Spreading Creativity from Heritage - International Games Festival" area. This space connects historical and cultural values with technology and creative industries, showcasing how heritage materials can be utilized in technological products and video games.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with Vietnamese businesses, introduces, releases, and operates video games inspired by Vietnamese history and culture. Here, the public can directly experience the games, watch cosplay performances, dance routines from the game Audition, and participate in interactive activities with LED screens.
