On October 3rd, 9th, and 10th, the weather will be mostly sunny during the day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night in some areas, especially in mountainous regions.

The Central Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Station also forecasts that the temperature in Da Nang city in October 2026 will generally be 0.5-1.5°C higher than the average for the same period in previous years.

In October, the city is likely to be affected by 2-3 periods of heavy rainfall . The total rainfall for the month is generally 5-20% lower than the multi-year average, although in some mountainous areas it is close to the multi-year average.

Total rainfall in the plains generally ranges from 450 to 650 mm, with Tam Ky station reaching approximately 500 to 700 mm. In the northwestern mountainous region, rainfall generally ranges from 350 to 550 mm, with other mountainous areas fluctuating from 500 to 750 mm; some areas in the southern mountainous region may receive even higher amounts, such as Tra My station which could reach approximately 700 to 900 mm.

The Central Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Station warns that in October, there will be approximately 1-2 tropical cyclones (storms or tropical depressions) active in the East Sea, and precautions should be taken against the possibility of one affecting the city's weather.

The tropical convergence zone, with its axis passing through Central Vietnam, connects with tropical cyclones, combined with disturbances in the upper easterly wind zone and a gradually strengthening continental cold high pressure system. These weather patterns will alternately cause extreme weather phenomena such as thunderstorms, lightning, hail, heavy rain, and strong gusts of wind on land, as well as tornadoes and strong gusts of wind at sea.

Heavy, intense rainfall poses a high risk of landslides, especially in mountainous areas. Therefore, it is necessary to proactively take precautions against flash floods and landslides in October.

Storms and tropical depressions combined with cold air can cause strong winds and high waves at sea, negatively affecting the operations of ships and boats...
