Mr. Dao Chi Nghia, Deputy Head of the Standing Delegation of the National Assembly of Can Tho City, presented a summary report on the expected content and program of the Second Session of the 16th National Assembly; the activities of the National Assembly Delegation of Can Tho City since the First Session; and the results of responding to voters' petitions.

Mr. Vu Kim Hai, a voter from Zone 5, Thoi An Dong Ward, submitted a proposal regarding policies and benefits for grassroots-level officials and civil servants .
On this occasion, voters in Binh Thuy, Long Tuyen, and Thoi An Dong wards raised many issues related to mechanisms and policies for the development of Can Tho City; planning, land, investment, and infrastructure development; protecting young people in cyberspace; digitalization in the healthcare sector; and policies and regulations for grassroots officials.

Ms. Duong Thi Khanh Linh, a voter in Zone 9, Binh Thuy Ward, suggested that National Assembly representatives and city leaders pay attention to perfecting and supplementing specific, breakthrough mechanisms and policies for Can Tho City to create conditions for the city's rapid and sustainable development.
Specifically, voters in Binh Thuy ward requested attention to supplementing regulations to protect young people in cyberspace, especially controlling harmful and toxic content and information, and limiting access to age-inappropriate content. Voters also hoped that National Assembly representatives and city leaders would focus on improving and supplementing specific mechanisms and policies for Can Tho City regarding investment resources, regional transportation infrastructure, logistics, science and technology, digital transformation , investment attraction, and human resource development to create conditions for the city's rapid and sustainable development.

Mr. Do Thanh Binh, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, and Head of the Can Tho City National Assembly Delegation, delivered a speech at the conference.

Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee, received and responded to voters' requests within the city's jurisdiction.
Voters in Long Tuyen ward petitioned the National Assembly and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to promptly complete and digitize maps, determine the boundaries and landmarks of land parcels for which land use rights certificates have been issued; and to establish regulations allowing people to adjust the location of residential land.
Voters in Thoi An Dong ward have requested the removal of difficulties and obstacles related to planning, land, investment procedures, and infrastructure development; creating conditions for the effective exploitation of land resources and attracting investment projects that are consistent with the planning. Voters also requested appropriate salary and allowance schemes for officials, civil servants, and employees at the commune level, as well as for branches, groups, and self-governing organizations in residential areas...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc acknowledged the efforts and development achievements of Can Tho City in recent years. According to Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, the city's transformations demonstrate efforts in many areas, contributing to the overall development of the country. Addressing issues of concern to voters, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc stated that regulations need to be further improved to ensure the safety of young people in cyberspace. Voter feedback will be incorporated into the development and refinement of relevant regulations.
Regarding data development, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc stated that this is not only the responsibility of state agencies but also requires the participation of the people. The state plays a pivotal role in building the legal framework, infrastructure, and data sets, including national data and key data of provinces and cities; while also ensuring data security, safety, financial resources, and human resources. For data from paper records, it is necessary to compile, analyze, review, and organize it, prioritizing digitization to incorporate it into data sets according to specific sectors and fields.
Regarding agricultural development, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc stated that Vietnam has advantages, but the application of science and technology in production still has limitations. Therefore, it is necessary to continue promoting the application of science and technology, developing processing, improving productivity and quality, and meeting market demands. Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc also discussed issues raised by voters related to Party building, national defense, textbooks, periodic health check-ups, security and order, and traffic safety...
Regarding the tasks for the future development of Can Tho City, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc emphasized that the city needs to continue analyzing and evaluating each sector, clearly identifying advantages to focus on development; at the same time, paying attention to resolving long-standing projects, bringing them into operation soon, and maximizing resources for development. The city needs to continue coordinating with provinces in the region, focusing on key areas, building production plans, ensuring cost-effectiveness, productivity, and quality to meet international market demands...
Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc hopes that voters will continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, identify difficulties and bottlenecks, and contribute ideas for the development of Can Tho City. Issues within the city's jurisdiction will be proposed for consideration and resolution; issues under the responsibility of the central government will be forwarded to the competent authorities; and the city will monitor and urge the resolution of reasonable voter requests.
