Ms. Suong Mai (real name Hoang Thi Kim Hau Phuc, born in 1995, currently a Literature exam preparation teacher at the QANDA STUDY system) started engaging in charitable activities quite early. From her high school years to university, she actively participated in volunteer work and gradually realized that sharing doesn't necessarily have to begin when you have a lot.
As a Literature teacher, she devotes much attention to children and their learning. According to Suong Mai, for a child in a disadvantaged area, sometimes a sturdy classroom, a satisfying meal, a few books, or a computer can open another door on their journey to acquiring knowledge.
In August 2024, the Cam Dan charity project was officially launched. The project's name is taken from the name of her firstborn daughter.

Since 2024, the project has built kindergartens in Tuyen Quang, donated computer rooms in Sa Pa (Lao Cai) and Thai Nguyen, built school canteens in Son La, built "Houses of Happiness" in Ha Tinh, and implemented "Small Cloud Libraries" at Hanoi Children's Hospital, SOS Children's Village in Thai Binh, etc.
"After each trip, instead of feeling like I've just 'given,' I usually feel like I've received so much in return," Suong Mai said.
Recently, the project provided financial support for meals for one school year to 50 students in the mountainous region of Dien Bien , and also donated a "Small Cloud Library" to Muong Phang Primary School.
According to Suong Mai, providing meals was chosen because, before thinking about academic success, the children need to have enough to eat and feel secure staying at school. The library, on the other hand, is a way to further provide them with opportunities to access knowledge and nurture their dreams.
Speaking to Lao Dong newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vang - Deputy Principal in charge of the Huoi He branch of Muong Phang Primary School (Dien Bien province) said: "The meals and library provided by Ms. Suong Mai are very meaningful for the students at the Huoi He branch school. This support has helped the children attend school, study better, and instilled more confidence in them to strive to become useful members of society."
Before undertaking any project, Suong Mai always prioritizes identifying the actual needs. The project involves discussions with schools and local residents to understand what is lacking and what practical support is most needed.

As a teacher, Suong Mai hopes her students understand that kindness is not something far-fetched. According to her, everyone can start by seeing someone in need and doing what they can within their capabilities.
