The second World Culture Festival in Hanoi is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Committee of Hanoi. This event is an important annual international cultural diplomacy activity, using "culture as the foundation - art as the means" to connect nations, promote people-to-people exchanges; enhance mutual understanding and trust between Vietnam and the international community; and simultaneously improve the value of thought and art, ensuring the cultural enjoyment needs of the people, building a modern cultural and entertainment ecosystem; promoting and strongly developing the cultural and tourism industries, and making a positive contribution to the goal of double-digit growth.
The festival brings together 50 countries and international organizations, including 15 countries that submitted films to participate in the International Film Screening Program from October 2nd to October 4th, 2026 at the Auditorium, Thang Long Imperial Citadel.
The program includes 16 films, encompassing documentaries, short films, and animation, from Vietnam and 15 other countries around the world . The selected films showcase stories, cultures, lifestyles, and characteristics of various nations, contributing to a diverse and rich cultural exchange space.

The film screening program has contributed to building an official international cultural exchange platform chaired by Vietnam, creating conditions for Vietnam to demonstrate its proactive role in international cultural cooperation, and at the same time showcasing its capacity to organize cultural activities on an international scale.
Over three days of film screenings, the Vietnam Film Department presented audiences with captivating films showcasing diverse cultural and social aspects, with high impact; introducing the unique characteristics of various countries, thereby contributing to strengthening understanding, exchange, and friendship between Vietnam and the international community.
