Ban Phung - home to the highest terraced rice fields.

Hoang Su Phi is located west of Tuyen Quang (formerly Ha Giang) and at the foot of Tay Con Linh peak. After the merger, 3,700 hectares of terraced rice fields now belong to the communes of Thong Nguyen, Ban May, Ho Thau, and Nam Dich. On the morning of September 21st, photographer Cao Nhu Thuy (36 years old, Ho Chi Minh City) was present in Ban Phung - the village with the highest terraced rice fields in Hoang Su Phi - to witness firsthand the golden rice in the sunlight. The terraced rice fields here were cultivated by the La Chi, Dao, and Nung ethnic communities. In 2012, the Hoang Su Phi terraced rice fields were recognized as a National Heritage site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for their unique beauty. Sharing with Tri Thuc - Znews , Nhu Thuy said that the terraced rice fields in Ban Phung have a high slope, winding around the mountain slopes. In the morning, clouds begin to drift, and the first rays of sunlight fall on each layer of fields, making the landscape even more majestic. The golden rice season here usually lasts for 2-3 weeks, with September marking the harvest season, which is also a beautiful time to take photos. During the trip, he also had the opportunity to meet the La Chi people carrying their children on their backs while bending over to harvest rice; they were very cheerful and friendly.

Nam Khoa Raspberry Hill shrouded in clouds

Having visited Tuyen Quang many times, this was Nhu Thuy's first time in Nam Khoa (Ho Thau commune). The moment he witnessed the sea of clouds sweeping across the valley and hills was a great gift for him on his trip. The beauty of the rice fields here changes with the time of day, but the sunset is always the most beautiful. At this time, the sun fades, leaving only a vibrant orange horizon, and the village becomes quiet. The ethnic community here lives off farming and community tourism . The pace of life is quite slow due to the narrow and steep terrain, making travel and transportation not always convenient. Tourists coming to admire the rice fields and staying in homestays, stilt houses, and dormitories is a way to spread the image of the region and create additional livelihoods for the people. According to the photographer, the route for viewing ripe rice fields in Hoang Su Phi includes Thong Nguyen - Nam Khoa - Ta Su Choong - Ban Phung. The Horseshoe Hill in Nam Hong village will turn yellow at the end of September. Traveling along the Thuong Son - Tung San route to the old Vinh Quang town, you can easily admire the pristine scenery.
