Following the success of the first festival in 2025, the second World Cultural Festival in Hanoi, themed "Gathering Heritage - Shaping the Future," will be held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's membership in UNESCO.
This is an opportunity for 50 participating countries to showcase their unique identities, heritages, and cultural values, while also expanding exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture, arts, tourism , and creative industries.
A notable feature of this year's festival is the expanded scale of its experiential spaces. There are 45 cultural spaces, 35 food stalls; the film screening program has participants from 18 countries; and the fashion space features traditional costumes from 19 countries.
In addition, the participation of 20 international art troupes created a series of multicultural musical performances and exchanges.
Activities are organized in various forms, from exhibitions, performances, culinary events, film screenings, and fashion shows to cultural experiences, thereby creating opportunities for the public to directly access different cultural aspects.
A new feature at the Festival is the "Spreading Creativity from Heritage - International Games Festival" area. Here, video games inspired by Vietnamese history and culture are introduced and operated, combined with cosplay activities, dance performances from the game Audition, and LED screen effects. This space aims to approach heritage through technology and contemporary creative forms.
The festival also emphasizes the connection between tradition and modernity, between heritage and creativity. Through interactive activities, the public can learn about the cultures of different countries, while participating entities have more opportunities to connect in the fields of art, tourism, and creative industries.
With the participation of numerous countries and diverse activities, the second World Culture Festival in Hanoi continues to be organized as a cultural diplomacy event, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnam and Hanoi to international friends, while creating more space for cultural values to be shared and accessed in new ways.
