Compared to the first edition in 2025, this year's festival is expanded in scale, content, and experiential formats. The activities are designed to allow participating countries to showcase their unique values while also providing opportunities for exchange and networking in the fields of culture, arts, tourism , and creative industries.
This year's festival, themed "Convergence of Heritage - Shaping the Future," follows the first event in 2025. The event aims to create a space for cultures to showcase their identities, heritage, and unique values, while also opening up opportunities for collaboration in culture, arts, tourism, and the creative industries.
The festival also aims to promote the image of Vietnam, Hanoi, and the country's cultural values and heritage; while strengthening connections between Vietnam and diplomatic missions, international organizations, and foreign partners in the fields of culture, arts, tourism, and creative industries.
Activities range from exhibitions, art performances, culinary events, film screenings, and fashion shows to cultural experience programs. The public has the opportunity to access the cultures of many countries within the same heritage space of Hanoi, while also learning about the unique characteristics of Vietnamese culture introduced to international friends.
A new feature of this year's festival is the "Spreading Creativity from Heritage - International Festival Games" area. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with Vietnamese businesses, will introduce and operate video games inspired by Vietnamese history and culture.

This area connects heritage with technology and creative industries, allowing the public to experience game products inspired by Vietnamese history and culture. Cosplay events, dance performances incorporating games, and LED screen effects are also held here.
The second World Culture Festival in Hanoi took place from October 1st to 4th at Thang Long Imperial Citadel – a UNESCO World Heritage site – during the year Vietnam celebrated its 50th anniversary of joining UNESCO. This was also the year Hanoi continued to promote its role as a UNESCO Creative City, transforming its heritage space into a meeting place between traditional values and contemporary creative forms.
