The first World Culture Festival in Hanoi 2025, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People's Committee, officially opened on the evening of October 10th at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Center. Over the weekend, the festival attracted a large number of locals and tourists who came to visit and immerse themselves in the colorful atmosphere of the largest international festival ever held in Hanoi.

The signature Indian dish "Veg Pakoda" is prepared by professional Indian chefs.

One of the areas that attracted a large number of visitors was the food street. Accordingly, the food street at the first World Culture Festival in Hanoi was designed on a large scale, featuring 34 stalls from 34 countries around the world such as France, Japan, Mexico, Venezuela, Turkey, Singapore, Thailand, Angola, etc. Each stall displayed dishes with the distinct flavors of their respective countries, creating a colorful culinary landscape.

Locals eagerly watched the live demonstration of making rice rolls at the festival.

Visiting this street, tourists have the opportunity to explore a diverse and rich global culinary scene. Highlights include stalls showcasing signature dishes from various countries, such as Mexican tacos, Turkish meat rolls, and Singaporean waffles.

In addition, the neighborhood offers rich flavors from savory dishes such as Anticuchos - Peruvian-style grilled meat or Pakistani chicken kebab, contributing to an interesting and sophisticated culinary journey for diners.

Meat rolls - a signature dish of the Turkish people.

Shahram Salimi, founder and director of the 1001 Carpet brand (Iran), shared: The atmosphere of the festival is truly wonderful. Culture can unite people all over the world, regardless of political differences. I am very happy to be here, both to learn about other cultures and to introduce the culture of my country to international friends.”

According to Shahram Salimi, the World Culture Festival in Hanoi is an international event that not only showcases Vietnam but also demonstrates to the world that Vietnam highly values its culture. Vietnam has a long history, so this event will undoubtedly help many visitors learn more about the country.

Grilled dishes from the Philippines and Peru have become a popular choice for many tourists.

At the festival, domestic and international visitors enthusiastically participated in experiencing the cuisine at each stall. Each dish carried the unique flavors of different cultures, leaving a lasting impression on those who tasted them. Shauna Ellis ( from the United Kingdom) expressed: “Vietnamese food is delicious, with harmonious flavors that I will always remember. I really like bun cha and banh cuon; their taste is very special.”

The French food area attracts a large number of visitors.

For Vietnamese people, this is an opportunity to "travel" across the five continents through their taste buds, to feel the breath of world culture right in the heart of Hanoi. Ms. Pham Thi Xuan (Hanoi), who just tried Cambodian noodle soup, said that Asian cuisine is characterized by many noodle dishes and traditional spices, while European cuisine consists of many pastries. "I am very excited and want to learn about the cultures of different countries, both in terms of art and fashion, food, and people," Ms. Pham Thi Xuan shared.

The first World Culture Festival in Hanoi, taking place from October 10-12, 2025 at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Center, promises to offer unique cultural experiences and spread the image of a friendly, hospitable, and culturally rich Vietnam to international friends.

Korean food courts always hold a special appeal for young tourists.

With the motto "Culture is the foundation - Art is the means," the first World Culture Festival in Hanoi is not only a large-scale cultural event, but also a typical cultural diplomacy activity of Vietnam in 2025, aiming to become an annual event of international significance.
